Invitation to Join the NBIMS—Business Process Integration Task Team (BPITT) (September 2006)
The U.S. National BIM Standard (NBIMS) Executive Committee has authorized the establishment of a Business Process Integration Task Team (BPITT) to facilitate identification and analysis, and to provide recommendations regarding the integration of BIM into the business models of all those who are involved in the facility life cycle. A partial list of stakeholders includes design service firms, contractors, owners, facility managers, product manufacturers, and regulatory agencies. Read more.

Task Teams

Serving on Task Teams is an opportunity for you to focus on certain specific NBIMS issues. Members of the Project Committee may volunteer to serve on up to two Task Teams and all applications are subject to the individual Task Team's chair approval.

Membership Interest Classifications

The purpose of the "interest classifications" is to insure an appropriate representation of the various interests of the building community in the makeup of the project committee. Please check the one category which is most appropriate for you.

Institute members are categorized in one of the following twelve (12) classifications based on their primary trade, occupational or business affiliation. Representatives of trade and professional associations and societies are categorized in the interest classification they primarily represent. Consultants, private attorneys and other similar individuals are classified in categories they predominantly serve.
